By Liza Mohd

Kuala Belait - Over 30 unique potted plants and exquisite flowers from China are on display and available for sale at the parking area of Soon Lee Department Store, Kuala Belait. The sale and exhibition of the China grown plants and flowers aim to show the different types of China's horticulture items to potential customers in the district.

The imported plants and rare flowers include an 80-year-old dragon tree which claims to have a life span of 1,000 years. It is priced over $20,000.

Mr Luo Xi Pao from the province of China said he has conducted similar exhibitions in Australia, Germany, Austria, Singapore and Malaysia. His exhibit in Brunei receives an encouraging response from Belait residents. The one-month exhibition ends on Jan 11, 2008. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
