Police Gives Awards For Beauty And
Cleanliness

- Temburong Police Post was the host of a prize presentation
ceremony to winners of a competition to select the most beautiful
offices, police stations and posts of the Royal Brunei Police Force
(RBPF).
On hand to present prizes to the
winners yesterday was the Commissioner of Police, Pehin Datu Kerma
Setia Dato Paduka Seri Zainuddin Jalani.
Six categories were competed for.
Categories A to E were for police headquarters, mess halls, police
stations, posts and offices, and marriage quarters whilst Category F
was for bachelor's barracks. The first three winners in each
category were given plaques and certificates of participation.
This year's competition was
organised by the General Ad ministration and Financial Department of
the RBPF's Headquarters. Winners were judged on the beauty and
cleanliness of the premises as well as creativity in landscaping.
Acting Assistant Superintendent of Police Kamariah OKIP Shari, who
is the secretary of this year's competition, told The Brunei Times
that the main objectives of the competition was to encourage police
personnel to observe and maintain the beauty and cleanliness of
their working space and living quarters apart from performing their
daily responsibilities.
"We have this competition as an
annual activity for a number of years now." "It (the competition)
does help us to achieve our main goals and the police community,
has, been very supportive towards this healthy activity," she said.
