Perkasa 'A' Takraw Champions

Bandar Seri Begawan - Perkasa `A' were crowned the champion of the National Sepak Takraw competition 2006 after defeating ABDB 'D' in straight sets of 21-18, 21-13 in the final at the Menglait Sports Complex on Friday.

Perkasa `A' consisted of Hj Hasrin Hj Ahmad, Hj Mohd DamitAhmad, AbdAziz Hj Abd Kahar and Adi Mohaimin while ABDB `D' were represented by Hafni Hj Abd Hamid, Fathal Watan Buhassan, Adif Hj Budin and Hasnan Hj Saat. Third place went to ABDB `B' after defeating Santos `A 21-12, 21-13.

The guest-of-honour Pg Hj Ali Hassan bin Pg DSLJ Hj Abas, the president of Brunei Darussalam Sepak Takraw Association gave away the prizes to the winners.

A total of 14 teams took part in the competition organised by Brunei Darussalam Sepak Takraw Association with the aim of promoting the game and unearthing new talents. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
