Unity With Police To Preserve Peace
By Abdul Rahim Mohd Taib and Shafiyi Azahari

Bandar Seri Begawan - The police force always welcome public's assistance in preventing crimes in helping the agency to ensure the country remains peaceful and making it a safe place to live in, and thanking them with words of appreciation was not enough.

In a sermon read at Friday's prayers yesterday quotedSurah Al-Maidah verse:2 of The Holy Quran which says: `Help ye one another in righteousness and piety, but help ye not one another in sin and rancour: fear Allah: for Allah is strict in punishment.' Helping one another is one of the strongest aspect of unity practised in Islam which will then create a sense of respect and care between the police and the society. Allah (swt) will deliver His blessing to those who continue to do so.

The sermon said: "Islam deeply encourages us to live in an environment of which helps each other towards righteousness which will then create a sense of respect and care between each other. If such attitude is practised among Muslims, by Allah's will a peaceful and harmonious living will be created which is also a strengthening factor for Muslims -- Courtesy of The Brunei Times
