TelBru Acts Fast To Restore Internet Connectivity

Bandar Seri Begawan - Telekom Brunei Berhad (TelBru) continued its relentless efforts to restore normalcy in the Internet connectivity in the country, which was temporarily disrupted as a result of the earthquake in Taiwan that affected communications throughout the region.

TelBru is currently co-coordinating with carriers in the region including Malaysia, Hong Kong and Japan to provide relief to its many Internet subscribers. TelBru has already coordinated with regional partners to re-route traffic via Malaysia, thus improving the traffic performance.

The link via Hong Kong too was partially restored. Meanwhile in our news item `Repairs could take 2 - 3 weeks', the reference to Tilbury instead of TelBru is incorrect. We regret this typographical error.-- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
