Customer Rubbed The Wrong Way
By Liza Mohd
Bandar Seri
Begawan - He walked in hoping to unwind, but instead walked
away an unhappy customer.
Like many others, he was drawn to
the idea of getting a massage and setting the price for the services
he received. This was after all the marketing strategy employed by
the popular massage centre, located in Bandar Seri Begawan.
However, he lamented that after
offering to pay $5 for the half-hour massage, the foreign employee
snubbed him, telling him that he was a cheapskate.
Citing that the massage centre had
to pay for operational cost, the foreign employee added, "If we had
more customers like you, we would have to shut down."
Not at all pleased with the
situation, the man said the centre should quash its `pay as you
wish' concept, if it did not intend to follow through.
The concept attracts dozens of
customers searching for a quick massage at cheaper rates. The normal
market price is $20 to $25, so at times customers can enjoy a
massage at half the normal fee. -- Courtesy of Borneo
