Bandar Seri
Begawan - Four local male youths aged between 15 and
21-years-old were apprehended on Christmas Eve for allegedly
stealing a LG fridge, two CPU desk tops, two LCD monitors, two
keyboards, and two units of computer mouse from a primary school in
Kg Kapok.
The arrest was made when the Tutong
Police Station CRO received a call from the public informing them
that there were people sleeping in a car parked somewhere along
Jalan Pengkalan Pinang in Penanjong Tutong. The stolen items were
recovered along with a fridge that was allegedly sold to a family
member of one of the detained youths.
Two of the youths also allegedly
admitted to having been involved in another theft on December 20, at
a religious school in Penanjong. The items stolen were an Acer
Computer set with a CPU and a monitor.
The two were brought to court
yesterday. Police advised members of the public not to purchase
stolen good because if caught doing so, they are liable to be
charged under Section 411, which carries a jail term of three years.
Meanwhile, in a separate case, two
Thai women, both aged 28, were allegedly caught for solicitation at
