Huge Turn-Out At Colouring
Competition

Begawan - The Women's Bureau of (MPK) Village Consultative
Council of the STKRJ in Kampong Lambak Kiri yesterday held a
colouring contest for children at the Multipurpose Hall of the Dato
Othman Primary School in Lambak Kiri.
The event, held for the third time
this year, was also supported by government agencies such as the
Narcotics Control Bureau and Brunei Museum Department. Present
yesterday were the principal of Dato Othman Primary School, the
village head of Kg Lambak Kiri, officers and staff from the
Narcotics Control Bureau and Brunei Museum Department, as well as
parents and other invited guests.
The colouring contest was divided
into four categories - Category A was for children aged three to
five, Category B for children aged six to eight and Category C was
for children aged nine to 11. For Category D, it was for children
aged from 12 to 15. More than 80 children took part in the colouring
competition.
Apart from the colouring contest,
an exhibition was also put up by the Narcotics Control Bureau at
the.multi-purpose hall of the school Osmani Hj Osman, the Acting
Assistant Director of Anti-Drug Education of NCB also presented a
briefing on dangers of drug abuse at the event.
Winners of the colouring
competition will be notified on a later date whereby their works
will be judged by staff from the Brunei Museum Department.-- Courtesy of Borneo
