Jame Asr' Mosque Receives New Hearse

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Jame Asr' Mosque yesterday received a hearse that is to be utilised by members of the public, particularly those residing in Kg Kiulap.

The keys to the hearse were handed over during a morning ceremony held at the compound of the mosque.

The ceremony opened with an al-Fatihah recital by Mudim Haji Awang Tamin bin Haji Awang Putting.

Later, Kg Kiulap Village Head Hj Mohammad bin Abu Bakar handed over the keys to guest of honour Hj Ishaaq bin Haji Abdullah, the Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Following this, the guest of honour presented the vehicle to Jame Asr' Mosque Acting Senior Religious Officer Ustaz Hj Aziz bin Hj Akop. The day also saw the performing of the 'Tapung Tawar' on the newly received hearse.-- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
