Strengthening Family Ties Through Sports

Bandar Seri Begawan - About 100 people comprising family members of the late Hj Serudin bin Hj Metasan took part in the 'Sukan Keluarga Tiga Serumpun' sporting event recently. This event, which was organised for the first time, was held at Taman Mini Perayaan Kampong Parit.

The event was officiated by guest ofhonour, Pengarah Hj Buntar bin Hj Serudin. Activities held included a colouring contest, fishing for bottles, gunnysack race and three-legged race.

According to the event organiser, the name 'Sukan Keluarga Tiga Serumpun' is a combination of names of the three children of the late Hj Serudin bin Metasan. They are Hjh Timah bte Serudin, Pengarah Hj Buntar bin Hj Serudin and Hjh Palam bte Hj Serudin. The objective of the event was to strengthen family relations and keep fit through sporting activities.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
