Brunei DPMM FC Share Spot With Four Teams

Bandar Seri Begawan - Five teams, including Brunei DPMM FC, are level on four points, just five points behind the leaders Perlis.

The other four teams are Perak, Terengganu, both with a game in hand, Melaka Telekom FC and Johor FC.

Brunei DPMM FC slipped from second place after they lost 2-1 to Selangor FA in the 2006/2007 Malaysian Super League at Shah Alam Stadium on Saturday night.

Selangor captain Shukor Adan drilled in a 37th minute stunner and teammate Mohd Fadzli Saari added the second in the 65th minute before Brunei DPMM FC Fadlin Galawat pulled one back eight minutes later.

Brunei DPMM FC collectedfour points from three games, while the win' enabled Selangor to jump to second place with six points.

Group leaders Perlis beat Melaka Telekom FC 1-0 at MBPJ Stadium in Kelana Jaya thanks to Azlan Ismail's last-minute goal. Azlan now tops the goalscorers list with four goals.

Perlis, the next opponent for Brunei DPMM FC on Dec 27 at Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium, maintained their 100 per cent record, three wins from three games. Pulau Pinang marked their first win of the season- in style when they beat defending champions Negri Sembilan 1-0 at their home ground Bandaraya Stadium. Pinang's Nordin Khamis' only goal in the 49th minute was enough to hold off the defending champions and send them to third place with five points.

Terengganu defeated Johor FC 2-0 at JCorp Stadium in Pasir Gudang, while Pahang notched up their first win as well with a 2-1 victory against Malacca who are still looking for their first point of the - season.
