awardees for their commitment and time in developing and
strengthening peace and harmony in Mukim Ukong.
He stressed that it was important
for every Mukim's penghulu and village head to ensure that the Mukim
and Village Consultative Councils in their respective areas remained
active.
"The Mukim and Village Consultative
Council acts as a support to the penghulus and village heads in
assisting them in their roles, tasks and responsibilities," he
added. He urged all village residents to continue giving their
support to Mukim penghulus and village heads and to be more active
in carrying out activities that boost harmony, peace and the
standard of living of the Mukim or village.
He also advised the Mukim and
Village Consultative Councils to hold "post-mortem" meetings to
identify any shortcomings faced in executing planned activities
throughout the year. At the same time, he encouraged them to take
the initiatives to ensure the smooth execution of activities planned
