Magnet-Ficent Time At OGDC

Bandar Seri Begawan - Explore the fascinating world of magnets and their endless applications in our daily lives at a magnetism exhibition in the Oil and Gas Discovery Centre (OGDC), Seria.

Eleven exhibits on magnetism, which were launched on December 1 during a threeday LiveWIRE Carnival, are available for visitors to explore the link between electricity and magnetism interactively.

Based on the "magnetism" theme, the exhibits are named Thompson Ring, Electromagnetic Crane, Magnetic Aquarium, Magnetic Suction, Eddy Current, Floating in Copper, Repulsive Magnets, Chaotic Pendulum, Flashing Pendulum, Horseshoe Magnet, and Magnetic Field.

The OGDC is open from 9 am until 5 pm everyday except Mondays. Entrance fee is priced at $5 per adult, $2 for youngsters aged between 13 and 17, $1 for children aged between five and 12, and free admission for children aged below five.-- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
