DBP's Pantaran Sastera Project Comes To An End

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Pantaran Sastera project 2006, which was launched September 18, came to a close yesterday.

The Language and Literature Bureau (DBP), Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports together with ASTERAWANI will be organising a new literature forum on January 11, 2007.

Present at the event was Dayang Aminah binti Hj Momin, Acting Director of Language and Literature Bureau. Also present were Professor Madya Dr Noriah binti Taslim and Dr Hj Morsidi bin Hj Muhammad as well as other invited guests from Universiti Brunei Darussalam.

In her speech, the Acting Director said the "Pantaran Sastera" project was one of the bureau's activities for the year20062007 taking place at the four districts in the country. It was organised by MASTERA ("Bahagian Pembinaan dan Pembangunan Sastera dan Majlis Sastera Asia Tenggara") Brunei Darussalam and was supported by the writer community and other NGOs.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
