'Winter Wonderland' At Empire

Begawan - In conjunction with the festive season, The Empire
Hotel and Country Club has lined-up a host of events including a
`Winter Wonderland' complete with snow.
Winter Wonderland promises to be
the star attraction from December 15, 2006 to January 8, 2007 and is
open to all with no entrance fee. "Snowtime" is every hour between
7pm and 10pm throughout the period.
Winter Wonderland was designed and
built by Team Members of the Project and Building Maintenance
Section of the Engineering Department of the hotel. A total. of 19
team members were involved in the project and the entire project
took more than 500 hours to complete. Other departments involved in
the project were the Landscape, Housekeeping and Food & Beverage
departments.
The Winter Wonderland is a project
that untapped the artistic talents of Team Members and the end
result is captivating. Penguins, igloos, snowmen and houses featured
in the display were all made on site by the team.
"We are delighted with the end
result of this project. It truly is magical and something that all
children will enjoy. Our team was also excited to be part of this
interesting and challenging project that truly unleashed their
creativity," said Azmi Jasni, Director of Property Maintenance.
A special gourmet counter selling
favourite treats for the season including Mince Pies, Log Cakes,
Christmas Pudding, Gingerbread Houses, Stollen Bread, Chocolates are
also featured at the Winter Wonderland.
Special X'mas menus will be served
on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at the Atrium, Li Gong,
Spaghettini, Lobby Lounge and Pantai restaurants - along with
Christmas catering to order and private parties.
On Christmas Eve, the Atrium's
buffet dinner and Pantai's BBQ buffet is priced at $46 ($26 per
child) with novelty party packs. Spaghettini's four-course set menu
is $55. The Lobby Lounge's tea buffet is $29. Li Gong's buffet is
$36 and Bunker Cafe's festive set menu is $35.
On Christmas Day, the Atrium's
lunch buffet is $48 .($24 per child) with novelty party packs and
the dinner buffet is $40 ($22 for children). Pantai serves a
Mongolian lunch BBQ at $25, and X'mas Night BBQ dinner at $48 ($24
per child). Spaghettini offers a six-course set X'mas dinner at $75.
Li Gong's Xmas Dim Sum lunch buffet is $29 and the Lobby Lounge
serves an afternoon tea buffet at $29. Bunker Cafe also has a
festive set menu at $35.

wanting to celebrate the season in style, `Festive Escapes'
including breakfast for two adults and two children (aged five and
below), buffet dinner for four on December 24 or buffet lunch on
December 25, along with a complimentary hamper are on offer at
suites and villas. At the same time, guests may order Christmas
Lunch to their suite or villa at only. $55 per person for a minimum
