Orchid Garden's Pro Evo Soccer Kicks Off

Bandar Seri Begawan - Yesterday saw the kick-off of the 3day Orchid Garden Hotel's Pro Evo Soccer Tournament 6 on the Playstation 2 console also known as the Winning Eleven Tournament.

With over 200 participants, the competition is one of the biggest console competition ever organised in Brunei.

The tourney will come to an end on December 17, and is held at the hotel's Vanda Chinese Restaurant. It is divided into three categories, namely: a round-robin format World Cup, in which the top two teams would go through to the next round; a standard knock-out contest;.and a multitap (tag-team) category, where teams of two players will compete in a knockout competition.

During the final stages of the tournament, the organisers will be using a projector and large screen - similar to that used during the hotel's recent World Cup 2006 promotion - so viewers could have a good view of competitions in progress. Throughout the duration of the tourney, the Vanda Chinese Restaurant will be closed to the public.
