Chicken Farmers Association Calls On MIPR

Bandar Seri Begawan - Several executive committee members of a local chicken farmers association, the Persatuan Penternak Ayam SME Melayu Islam Brunei (PAM!), visited the office of the Minister of Industry and Primary Resources Wednesday afternoon to brief its objectives and missions.

Led by PAMI president Haji Jamahat bin Haji Liman, the group was greeted by Pehin Dato Dr Awang Haji Ahmad bin Haji Jumat, Minister of Industry and Primary Resources and Dato Paduka Haji Hamdillah bin Haji Abd Wahab, the Deputy Minister.

Haji Jamahat said they were impressed by the reception they received from the minister and deputy minister where the ministry promised to help them (chicken farmers) overcome their problems such as to increase the number of chicken farms and recommend them to receive loans to purchase extra hatchery machines.-- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
