Boy Drowns In Kampong Ayer

Bandar Seri Begawan - A five-year-old boy drowned Thursday night in Kampong Ayer, RTB reported.

Mohamad Mohsin @ Khalil bin Awang Sofri was found drowned in Kampong Setia ‘A’. According to his brother, he last saw Mohsin when he said he wanted to go outside around 5pm. Before that, Mohsin was seen watching other children swimming near his grandfather's house. His family realised he was not in the house after the Maghrib prayer.

According to his mother, Mohsin never walked alone but he was always with his brother or sister. Mohsin's body was found by one of the residents around 10.03pm under one of the houses in the village which was just four blocks away from his grandfather's house.

The Fire and Rescue Department received the distress call from the public around 8.28pm. The search operation was conducted by the Marine Fire Station, the police marine and residents of the village. During the operation, the water was in high tide.-- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
