Brunei Fourth Among Asean Countries With Access To Computers, Internet: Study
By Rosli Abidin Yahya

Bandar Seri Begawan - A large number of people in the Sultanate have access to computers and the Internet, according to a recent international study involving countries within the Asean region.

Among the Asean countries, Brunei Darussalam was placed fourth after Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. In addition to this, the 2006 study said businesses in the Sultanate are also making full use of technology.

"The adoption of e-business practices among consumers and businesses contributed to its high-ranking," the study stated. The study, conducted by global technology policy and management consulting firm McConnell International, said electronic preparedness measures a nation's capacity to participate in the digital economy. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
