Delegation From CCM Pays Courtesy Call To MIPR's Deputy Perm Sec

Bandar Seri Begawan - A delegation of four members from the Co-operative College of Malaysia (CCM) is in the country for a five-day working visit. The delegation is being hosted by Brunei Industrial Development Authority (BINA).

On the first day of their visit, the delegation which was led by the Head of Co-operative Development and Law, Hjh Hayati Mohd Salleh paid a courtesy call to the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources (MIPR), Pg Hjh Mariana PDNLDR Pg Hj Momin at its headquarters in Jalan Menteri Besar. Also present at the function was the Acting Director of BINA, Pg Sharifuddin Pg Hj Matali, senior MIPR officers and BINA officials.

Prior to the function, the delegation paid a visit to BINA's headquarters in Gadong where they were briefed on the function of the department by the Head of Cooperative Development Division, Obincin bin Bayan.

The purpose of the visit was to strengthen the bilateral relation between the two government agencies as well as to explore the possibility of joint collaboration in trainings, consultancy and research for the benefits of both parties.

The visit was also part of the activities of the college in conjunction with their diamond jubilee celebration this year. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
