Double Celebration At SUAMPRIPAD

Bandar Seri Begawan - Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit Arabic Religious Secondary Girls' School (SUAMPRIPAD) held a double celebration to mark Hari Raya and Teachers' Day recently, beginning with a speech from Principal Ustazah Datin Piah Hj Mohd Saat.

Besides stage and song performances, donations and gifts were presented to 15 orphans. Certificates of appreciation were awarded to department and section heads of the school. A "Favourite teacher" award was presented to five teachers teaching forms one to five.

The highlight was the presentation of tokens of appreciation by the principal to eight teachers who had left the school.

They included former vice-principal of the school, Ustazah Hjh Rusita Hj Yahya, who has been promoted to the Department of Islamic Studies, Ministry of Religious Affairs as Head of Educational Institutions. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
