Malaysians To Hold Christmas-New
Year Party

Begawan - The Persatuan Warganegara Malaysia (PWM) of Negara
Brunei Darussalam in collaboration with the Malaysian High
Commission will be hosting its yearly "Muhibbah Nite" by organising
a Christmas and New Year Party for all Malaysians.
This announcement was1made
yesterday during a press conference by the Malaysian High
Commissioner, Datuk Ali bin Abdullah, and members of PWN at the
Malaysian High Commission.
Themed "Unity and Peace", the
objective of the celebration is to create an opportunity for all
Malaysians residing in Brunei Darussalam to get together and renew
their acquaintances. The Christmas and New Year bash is to be held
on January 6, 2007 at the Darussalam Hall of Chung Hwa Middle School
at 7pm.
Malaysians who wish to make
reservations or obtain further information can contact Mr Mooney
Arthur at 8772425, Mr Sylvester Sebastian at 8751231 or Mr John
Malang at 8741363.
According to the organising
committee, this is a oncein-a-year opportunity to invite their
Bruneian friends to come along with their families and strengthen
their friendship with their Malaysian counterparts.
The President of PWM will be
heading the organising committee and the guest of honour for the
event will be none other than the Malaysian High Commissioner Datuk
Ali, who will be accompanied by his family.
The evening is expected to attract
more than 1,000 Malaysians and feature local delicacies,
entertainment as well as lucky draws.
The Malaysian High Commissioner
encouraged all Malaysians to attend the gathering as the event is
aimed at uniting Malaysians and Bruneians as well as promoting
respect for one another. He hoped that all Malaysians residing in
Brunei will play their role and contribute their part in making the
