Brunei Women Products At Oman Expo

Bandar Seri Begawan - Local companies continue to create waves in the international exhibition arena as they participate in the Women Expo 2006 in Oman to promote products and services exclusively meant for women.

Commencing last Sunday until Dec 15, the expo was inaugurated by the President of the Public Authority for Craft Industries (Paci) of Oman, Shaikha Aisha bint Khalfan al Siyabiyah.

The opening of the fair at the Oman International Exhibition Centre coincided with the announcement that the country will host for the first time a conference to discuss the expanding role of Omani women as leaders and their contribution in the development of their country.

Apart from Brunei Darussalam, the 65 companies and organisations from abroad taking part in Women Expo' include those from Saudi Arabia, Syria, Thailand, the UAE and Britain. Products and services on offer mainly cover beauty and health, jewellery and wedding concepts, fashion and lifestyle, education and finance, home improvement products as well as food and childcare.-- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
