Foreign Fabric Salesman Detained

Bandar Seri Begawan - A 38-year-old Pakistani man was detained for illegally selling women's clothes yesterday during a routine inspection by the Law Enforcement Section, Department of Immigration and National Registration at Perpindahan Lambak Kanan, Berakas.

The Pakistani man had a huge plastic bag that contained some 18 pieces of women's clothing.

When questioned, the Pakistani man admitted that the clothes and fabrics were for sale at $15 each.

The suspect was taken to the Law Enforcement Section BSB for further investigation into involvement in an offence under the Immigration Act Chapter 17, Rule 15 (3) for "peddling activities". Foreign workers in the country should only perform the kind of work stated in their work pass. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
