Call For Better Drainage In Three Areas

Bandar Seri Begawan - Many residents residing at Jalan Sungai Tampoi, Mulaut and Jerudong areas recently made numerous complaints to the Bulletin over poor drainage in the areas.

No action has been taken yet by the relevant authorities. Some of the residents at Jalan Sungai Tampoi said they fear that their properties will be ruined once again due to flash floods. Some are even scared to leave their homes to 'do their normal duties, fearing the rising water levels will cause floods to the area.

Due to frequent rain during the past few days as well as garbage and tall grasses, the water drainage levels have raisen quickly, preventing proper flow of water. The relevant authorities are urged to take immediate action to avoid floods and damages. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
