Search Is On For Tucson's 1,000th Buyer

Bandar Seri Begawan - The 1,000th buyer of a Hyundai Tucson in the country will be driving away with an attractive cash prize soon.

The announcement was made by Setia Motors Sdn Bhd, sole distributor of Hyundai cars in Brunei Darussalam. According to its management, the number is expected to reach its target of buyers very soon with the expected announcement of the winner to be made by early January next year.

The promotion which aims to celebrate the overwhelming response for the popularity of the Hyundai SUV model in the country was recently launched from December 1 this year.

Hyundai's SUV, model which emerged in the market early 2005, has since been a very popular choice for a competitively-priced SUV in the global market. In March this year, Setia Motors was awarded with the `Award of Excellence in Sales' during the Hyundai Global Dealers Seminar held in Manila, Philippines with its successful record of over 1,866 units sold in 2005 in Brunei Darussalam including 499 units of Hyundai Tucson sold within that year.

Hyundai Tucson's popularity has been attributed to its extensive features including its powerful 2.0 litre engine with choice of diesel or petrol-run engines, its sporty SUV exterior looks with 16" alloy wheels, Shift Tronic automatic transmission and spacious features.

Hyundai Tucson was ranked the highest initial quality in the compact multi-activity vehicle (MAV) segment by J.D. Power & Associates and is the lowest priced SUV in the Brunei market with affordable monthly payments.-- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
