42 RBPF Personnel Complete
Workshop On Investigation

Begawan - Investigative officers of Royal Brunei Police Force
were yesterday urged not to abuse their power and instead, follow
rules and procedures of investigation.
During a presentation of
certificates to 42 pat ticipants of a general investigation workshop
at the Criminal Investigation Department, Acting Director of RBPF
General Administration and Finance Ag ACP Abdul Rahim bin Hj Mohd
Noor added that applying brute force during interrogation would be
of an abuse of power.
He also hoped that the workshop
allowed participants, which were corporal sergeants in the country,
to gain valuable knowledge of general investigation.
Ag ACP Abdul Rahim called on all
participants to make good use of the materials offered during the
workshop in their investigative work.
He added that investigative
officers should take into account comments made by judges and
members of the public on the weaknesses of local investigators.-- Courtesy of Borneo
