42 RBPF Personnel Complete Workshop On Investigation
By James Kon

Bandar Seri Begawan - Investigative officers of Royal Brunei Police Force were yesterday urged not to abuse their power and instead, follow rules and procedures of investigation.

During a presentation of certificates to 42 pat ticipants of a general investigation workshop at the Criminal Investigation Department, Acting Director of RBPF General Administration and Finance Ag ACP Abdul Rahim bin Hj Mohd Noor added that applying brute force during interrogation would be of an abuse of power.

He also hoped that the workshop allowed participants, which were corporal sergeants in the country, to gain valuable knowledge of general investigation.

Ag ACP Abdul Rahim called on all participants to make good use of the materials offered during the workshop in their investigative work.

He added that investigative officers should take into account comments made by judges and members of the public on the weaknesses of local investigators.-- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
