Bandar Seri
Begawan - Happy Motoring Co Sdn Bhd, sole distributor of
Honda vehicles in the country, unveiled the new Honda CR-V Sports
Utility Vehicle (SUV) at its showroom in Gadong.
Mr
Loh Kok Sin, Manager of Happy Motoring, officiated the launch. Four
lucky owners, who had purchased the new CR-V before the launch of
the car, received their hampers and gifts from Happy Motoring at the
event. The third generation 2.0-litre Honda CR-V combines the bold
and rugged exterior construction with a more sophisticated yet
sporty upper body feature.
The new model has been engineered
based on its original - concept of a well-rounded vehicle that
offers the comfort of a sedan, the off-road manoeuvrability and the
utility of a minivan with latest innovations in design and
performance.
The CR-V that made its initial
debut in 1995 has created a new segment in the SUV market with its
pristine combination of passenger car comfort and everyday
practicality, making a total sale of more than 2.5 million vehicles
in 160 countries around the world.
The all new CR-V has been adapted
with distinguished features including 17-inch alloy wheels, a tilt
and telescopic steering wheel, side indicator lights on its side
view mirrors, white backlit switches and illuminated metres and a
rear view mirror with day/night adjusters.
Safety features, which have been
integrated into the new CR-V, include the ABS (anti-lock breaking
system) and EBD (electronic brake force distribution), which help
retain steering control in emergencies.
Honda's trademark G-Force Control
(G-Con) technology enhances passenger protection while mitigating
impact on the other vehicle.
Its engine that features the i-VTEC
system combines Honda's original VTEC (Variable Valve Timing and
Life Electronic Control) with VTC (Variable Timing Control) which
delivers powerful torque at all engine speeds.-- Courtesy of Borneo
