Immigration Personnel

Bandar Seri
Begawan - Workshops employing foreign labour are not spared
from being scrutinised by the Belait Immigration Enforcement
personnel.
In a-recent operation, a
55-year-old Filipino man was arrested at a workshop in Sungai Liang,
where he was doing painting works on vehicles. He was brought in for
investigation after Immigration officials discovered that his
working pass had expired for a period of 35 days.
Meanwhile, a Thai national believed
to be a partner of the workshop's owner was also issued with a
special pass which requires his presence to facilitate the
investigation of the case.

could face charges under Chapter 15(1) of the Immigration Act,
Section 17 which states that those who stay in Brunei after their
