Royal Messages To Thailand

Begawan - His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of
Brunei Darussalam consented to send congratulatory messages to His
Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the King of Thailand and General
Surayud Chulanont, the Prime Minister of Thailand on the occasion of
the 79th birthday anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
In his message, His Majesty
expressed his satisfaction with the warm and friendly relations and
deep understanding between Brunei and Thailand at the bilateral
level and in Asean, regional and international fora.
His Majesty hoped that this would
be maintained and enhanced in the future - for the good of the two
countries and peoples.
His Majesty also hoped that His
Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej would always remain in good health
and happiness and for the people of Thailand to always enjoy
continued progress and prosperity.
At the same time, in a similar
congratulatory message to General Surayud, His Majesty congratulated
him and the government and people of Thailand on such occasion. His
Majesty expressed his satisfaction with the warm and friendly
relations between the two countries and wished that this would be
maintained and enhanced in the future for the mutual benefit of the
two countries and peoples.
His Majesty also wished General
Surayud his continued good health and happiness and for the
prosperity of the people of Thailand.
Meanwhile, His Royal Highness
Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of
Brunei Darussalam sent similar congratulatory messages to his Thai
counterpart, Mr Nitya Pibulsonggram, Minister of Foreign Affairs of
Thailand on the occasion of the birthday of His Majesty King
Bhumibol Adulyadej.
HRH offered his respects to His
Majesty King Bhumibol and the Thai royal family, and congratulated
Mr Nitya Pibulsonggram and the government and people of Thailand on
such occasion.
HRH wished Mr Nitya much success in
his new post and look forward to working with him to strengthen much
