Nurses Complete Two-Day Medical Refresher Course By Suria Rina PHA

Bandar Seri Begawan - A certificate presentation ceremony was held for more than 50 nurses throughout the country who had recently completed a two-day course on `Asthma Nurse Counselling', `Caring in Nursing Through Communication and Public Relation', 'Cardiotocograph and `Medical Refresher Course'.

The event was held at Kuliah Hall of the Nursing Education Unit, RIPAS Hospital. Present to hand over the certificates to the participants was the guest of honour, Director of Nursing Services, Ministry of Health, RIPAS Hospital, Pengiran Hajah Azizah binti Pengiran Haji Tajuddin.

It was learnt that the Carditocograph course was aimed at enabling midwives to develop their ability to interpret cardiotograph tracer correctly in clinical practice.

Through the workshop, it is expected that the participants will understand the concept of cardiotocograph and the differences between antepartum and intrapartum fetal heart rate monitoring as well as to appreciate the importance of cardiotocograph interpretation in reducing perinatal mortality and morbidity.-- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
