Jays Win Muara Vella Volleyball Trophy

Bandar Seri Begawan – Jays volleyball team clinched the champion's trophy in the Muara Vella Invitational Volleyball Tournament 2005 when they remained undefeated with ten points after the end of the one-day round robin league competition at the Royal Brunei Navy Gym on Monday evening.

Second place went to Dewa Wira volleyball team with eight points followed by ABDB volleyball team with six points in third place.

Jays volleyball team were also named as the best team of the year.

Azahar Timbang from team PASA took home the award for best youth player, while Awang Ridwan from Jays took home the best spiker award and the best player of the year award.

Presenting the prizes to the winners were guests of honour Pg Haji Mohd Arif Bin PMA Pg Hj Ahmad, Vice President of Muara Vella FC, andAwang Haji Zaini Bin Hj Maidin from the Brunei Amateur Volleyball Association. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
