Peterpan Concert Set To Attract 5,000 People

Bandar Seri Begawan – The concert of Indonesia's most famous group, Peterpan, which will be held on January 7, 2006 at the Indoor Stadium, Hassanal Bolkiah Sports Complex in Berakas, is set to be a full house affair, said Pg Hj Abu Bakar Pg Hj Othman, organiser and managing director of De Hayat Musical and Production.

He said the concert tickets are selling like hot cakes, adding that those interested in watching the concert should get their tickets now, before it's too late.

"There are some $20, $40, and $60 tickets left, so fans must purchase them now at our authorised outlets to avoid disappointment," he said.

Concert tickets are available at De Hayat Home Products, Block L, Unit 6, Pg Hj Menuddin and Anak-Anak Complex at Batu Bersurat, Gadong; Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiali; Dee Jay Home Video, 1s' Floor, The Mall, Gadong; Vincci at Shakirin Complex in Kiulap; Halim Plaza Hotel in Tutong and Riviera Hotel in Kuala Belait.

Meanwhile, a 20-member crew including the six members of Peterpan is set to arrive in the Brunei International Airport in Berakas for their Peterpan Live in Brunei concert on January 5, 2006.

With HSBC as the main sponsor and Sosro Fruit Tea, Hyundai Setia Motors Sdn Bhd and Parador Laminate Flooring as the co-sponsors, the band will attend various promotional sessions including interviews with radio stations, meet-the-fans and meeting with sponsors.

The meet-the-fans session will take place at the Orchid Garden Hotel Ballroom on January 7 at 7 pm. Only $60 and $80 ticket holders are entitled to attend the dinner with Peterpan by purchasing a $50 ticket per person.

The concert, which is expected to pull in some 5,000 fans, will also feature a special one-hour special show of local artistes such as Putri Norizah and Faiz Nawi, accompanied live by DRS Band.

Peterpan is expected to entertain their fans for about one hour, rendering songs from their two albums, "Taman Langit" and "Bintang Di Surga" and soundtrack album "Alexandria". -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
