Pg Hj Ali Wins RBRC Title

Bandar Seri Begawan – Pg Hj Ali Pg Hj Tuah emerged as the overall gross winner in the 2005 RBRC Annual Golf Tournament at RBA Golf Club yesterday.

Pg Hj Ali scored a total gross of 81, beating some 83 golfers to claim the year-end event.

Hj Sabirin Hj Abd Hamid, carding a nett score of 70, claimed the overall nett title.

In the Division A for handicap of 18 and below, Abd Rahim Jumat won the award, followed by Zahrin Hj Zunaidi, Daniel Giam and Pg Hj Yaakub Pg Salleh.

Abu Hussin Sahat won the Division B (handicap from 19 to 36) category, followed by Pg Zainal Pg Hj Tuah, Hj Ranie Timbang and Pg Ismail Pg Mahmud.

In the guests category, Salwa Hj Ibrahim was the overall nett winner, followed by Pg Hj Johari Pg Daud, Brian Chiew and Ak Wira Hadi Pg Salleh.

Seruji Hj Setia took the overall gross category, followed by Hj Noorismadi Hj Tamit, Suhaimi Hj Ibrahim and Hj Majid Ahmad.

Meanwhile, Zailani Hj Abd Malik won the novelty prize for `nearest to the pin' at hole 2, Hj Shahroll Hj Roger won the prize at hole 5, Hj Idris Matnor at hole-2 and Hj Khalid Halim at hole 14.

Hj Kadir Ghani won the longest drive award at hole 18, while Hj Maksudi Hj Karna won the nearest to the line at hole 9.
