Residents Complaining Of Inconvenience From Blocked Drains

Bandar Seri Begawan – Flash floods in low-lying areas at Panapar, Layong dan Lamunin in Tutong have caused much inconvenience to residents.

They are frustrated by the lack of prompt action from government agencies as well as their inability to prevent their homes from being submerged in reddish water.

Some have even moved their vehicles to higher ground despite difficulties in manoeuvring them amid the floods.

Drainage systems have been blocked and overgrown with weeds.

They hope relevant authorities could look into the situation as soon as possible, so that their lives can be returned to normal. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
