Brunei Currently In Tropical Depression

Bandar Seri Begawan – The continuous rainy season over these past few months has undoubtedly affected Brunei.

Some parts of the country, especially those in low-laying lands, have experienced floods, RTB reported.

According to a recent report from the Meteorological Department, the Sultanate is currently in a tropical depression. .

Kg Lamunin in Tutong and some of its surrounding areas were inundated by floodwaters yesterday, following an incessant downpour since early morning.

Houses located nearby rivers were especially affected.

The amount of rainfall will gradually increase towards the end of year, bringing with it thunderstorms, usually from late afternoon until midnight or, at times, over the pre-dawn period.

However, the number of areas usually affected during this rainy season is now low, due to proper and maintained drainage systems.
