Village Head Receives Letter Of Appointment

Bandar Seri Begawan – A ceremony was held recently at the residence of newly-elected village head of Kampong Tamoi Tengah and Kampong Tamoi Ujong Awg Tarip bin Hj Asgar, where he received a letter of appointment.

Present as the guest of honour at the event was Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs Dato Paduka Awg Hj Adrian bin Hj Hanafiah, who presented the letter of appointment to Awg Tarip bin Asgar.

Also in attendance were officers of the Brunei Muara District Office and residents of Kampong Tamoi Tengah and Kampong Tamoi Ujong.

Awg Tarip, 51, has been the village head of Kampong Tamoi Tengah and Kampong Tamoi Ujong since October 1. He has been a fine wood craftsman at the Brunei Muara District Office since December 1, 1982. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
