17 Contributors Donate 20, 530 To Pakistani Earthquake Victims

Bandar Seri Begawan – A handing over of donations for Pakistani earthquake victims was held yesterday at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. Present as chief guest was Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Pehin Major-General (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Awg Hj Mohammad.

Some $20,530 was received yesterday from 17 contributors. To date, $56,530 has been received.

A total of $30,000 was donated by Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei (TAIB) and another $6,000 from the Girl Guides Association of Brunei Darussalam.

Handing over the donation on behalf of TAIB was its Chairman, Dato Paduka Dr Awg Hj Mat Suny, while the Chief Commissioner ofthe Girl Guides, Dyg Hjh Siti Hafsah, handed-over the donation on behalf of the association. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
