Brunei Representatives At Aub Conference In Bangladesh

Bandar Seri Begawan – Scholars from Brunei Darussalam joined their counterparts from Bangladesh, England, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan and Singapore for a two-day long international conference to celebrate the 1011, anniversary of the Asian University of Bangladesh (AUB) starting Saturday at BIAM Auditorium in Bangladesh.

Entitled "A Universal Paradigm of Socio-Scientific Reasoning", the conference was inaugurated by the chief guest Montana Motiur Rahman Nizami, Bangladesh Minister for Industries.

The minister congratulated AUB for organising such an important international conference.

Prof. Dr. Abut Hasan M. Sadeq, ViceChancellor of the University in his welcoming address at the inaugural session said that AUB's curricula integrate all academic disciplines into a single value system in line with the per cent of the unit of the divine source of knowledge.

Thus the theme of the conference is a reflection of the vision of the University itself, he said.

Speakers at the conference included Prof. Dr. Masudal Alam Chowdhury from Indonesia, Rodney Shakespeare from the UK and William Christensen of HRD, Bangladesh. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
