Stop The Vandalism

Bandar Seri Begawan – Vandals have left their ugly marks at the housing area of Perpindahan Bukit Beruang in Tutong.

The traffic signboard along Simpang 1185-73-231 has been scrawled with graffiti.

The signboard of a timber company in the area was also vandalised and nothing has been done to replace it so far.

The rubbish bins at the garbage collecting site, which have been vandalised just a few weeks ago and since then has been repainted by the relevant agencies, also were subjected to the vandalising act again.

Another area where vandals have left their imprint is the shopping complex in Kg Bengkurong.

Public phones in the area have been vandalised by irresponsible individuals.

Some were seen without the handset while a few sets have been removed from the booths.

Stiffer penalties need to be imposed on perpetrators. The government has already spent a lot in building various public amenities for the comfort of the people and it just seems unfair to vandalise these properties. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
