Soil Erosion Damages Kitchen

Bandar Seri Begawan – Heavy downpour over the past few days caused some low-lying areas in the country to be submerged, with flash floods and landslides occurring at several places.

On of the areas affected was a house at Simpang 37, No 9 in Kg Katimahar. The heavy rains triggered a soil erosion that caused parts of the kitchen and floor of the double-storey house to be damaged.

The incident occurred around <10pm on Friday night. Personnel from the Fire Services. Department arrived at the scene and put up a security tape around the eroded area. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
