Empire Hosts Chinese Media

Bandar Seri Begawan – The Empire Hotel & Country Club recently hosted a media group from Weekend Weekly Magazine, Hong Kong for four nights to enjoy a first hand experience of the Sultanate in order to promote Brunei as a exciting and new tourist destination in their magazine. This trip was also supported by Brunei Tourism, Bonasia Holidays and Scuba Tech International.

Weekend Weekly Magazine is a weekly Chinese magazine, which provides the latest leisure and lifestyle information. Published by New Media Group, it has a huge circulation of 150,000 weekly and targets readers aged between 20 to 30 years of age, mostly from the mid to high income levels.

Upon their arrival at the hotel, the group was welcomed by Director of PR & Marketing Communications Jennifer Kang, who later hosted a welcome dinner at Pantai that was also attended by Brunei Tourism officer Ms Faten Shahrani and Ms Caroline Ang, the managing director of Bonasia Holidays. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
