Dragon at The Mall

A golden coloured dragon has been put up near the entrance of Utama Grand Superstore at The Mall in Gadong. As Chinese New Year will fall in January, businesses around the country are now gearing up for the upcoming festivities. The 2006 Chinese Lunar Year will be the "Year of the Dog". According to a Utama Grand Superstore staff, the Chinese believe that the dragon symbolises good fortune and prosperity for the new year. Many children have become quite attached to the dragon, while some of the younger ones are afraid of it.
