DPMM FC Fall Three Places

Begawan – Brunei DPMM FC stumbled to their first defeat of
2005/ 2006 Malaysian Premier League Group A campaign as they went down
2-0 at the Sultan Mohd IV in Kota Bharu to Kelantan last Wednesday.
The defeat saw Ranko's team fall three places to sixth spot in the
standings.
Kelantan's
Mohd Sairozi Daud's second half strikes in the 62nd and 83`d minute
were enough to end Brunei DPMM FC's three-match unbeaten streak.
Meanwhile Pulau Pinang NTFA finally
managed to collect their first point of the season as they
surprisingly drew 1-1 with league leaders Sarawak at the Sarawak
Stadium in Kuching.
It was the visitor's who drew first
blood as G Shanmugam gave them a 34'h minute lead before Mohd Safee
Sali leveled the score 1-1 in the 45" minute, his fourth so far this
season.
The Utama Negeri Stadium in Kangar
saw Kedah beat Perak UPB 1-0 with a goal from Shahfizan Hashim in the
10'h minute as Kedah moved to third place.
Johor
remained in second as they defeated Terengganu 2-1 at the JCorp Pasir
Gudang stadium with Ahmad Latif Kamaruddin and Noriz-am Salaman
scoring the goals for the home team in the 351" and 78`h minute
respectively.
The fifth match of the season will
take place on January 1, 2006 when Brunei DPMM FC will welcome the new
year with a home game against Perak UPB at the Hassanal Bolkiah
National Stadium, while neighbours Sarawak will host Kelantan in
Kuching.
Pulau
Pinang NTFA will have the chance to crawl out of bottom place when
they travel to the Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Stadium to take on
second-bottom Terengganu.
The Tan Sri Dato Hj Hassan Yunos
Stadium is expected to feature an exciting game as second placed Johor
meets third placed Kedah with both teams tied on 7 points. --
