Brunei Gas Chief Says Thanks To Press

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Brunei Liquified Natural Gas Sendirian Berhad or Brunei LNG is trying to be more transparent.

This was said by Brunei LNG Managing Director Mr Fred Smeenk at the Appreciation Day for the Media in Brunei. He said transparency is part of the way of life of the Brunei society.

At the function held this afternoon in Jerudong, the Brunei LNG presented a donation worth fifteen thousand dollars to the Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah Fund for the Orphans. The Brunei LNG Managing Director Mr Fred Smeenk handed over the dontion to Dato Hashim the Chief Executive Officer of the Sultan haji Hassanal Bolkiah Foundation.

The Brunei LNG also donated to the Brunei Darussalam Aids Council worth five thousand dollars and the contribuk4on was received by the Vice President of the Brunei Aids Council Datin Paduka Hajah Rokiah Hj Zakiah.

In his speech to the media representatives, Mr Fred Smeenk said Brunei LNG wants the public to know what they are doing and what they are planning.

In this respect, Mr Fred Smeenk said, the media plays an extremely important role and without the media it will be difficult for them to convey their messages to the public.
