Brunei DPMM FC Climb To Third Spot

Begawan – Brunei DPMM FC climbed to third spot in Malaysian
Premier League Group A after scoring their first win of the season - a
1-0 victory over Pulau Pinang NTFA at the Hassanal Bolkiah National
Stadium on Sunday night.
And, for the third straight game,
Brazilian signing Antonio Lombardo Tosi scored the Brunei DPMM FC
goal, proving to one and all just honk valuable an asset he is turning
out to be.
The loss on Sunday extended Pulau
Pinang's losing streak to three games in a row.
Meanwhile in a top-of-the-table at
the Sarawak Stadium in Kuching, the home team emerged triumphant in a
hard-fought encounter after they beat Johor 3-2. The hosts took a
two-goal lead, thanks to a double strike from Mohd Safee Sali in the
45th and 55th minutes, before Johor pulled one back through Latiff
Kamaluddin in the 73rd minute.
Junaid Sartley restored Sarawak's
2-goal cushion in the 81st minute but that only lasted for a minute as
Khairil Ismail scored Johor's second soon after. And despite Johor's
attempt at a comeback, Sarawak held on to the score, and bagged all
three points to remain atop Group A.
At the Perak Stadium in lpoh, Perak
UPB defeated Kelantan with a 25th minute strike from Peter Uademebuo
while the match between Terengganu and Kedah at the Sultan Ismail
Nasiruddin Shah Stadium ended in a goalless draw. --
