Foundation Laying For Lambak Library

Bandar Seri Begawan – The foundation laying ceremony for a new library located at Lambak Kanan Housing project was held yesterday morning. The guest of honour was Pehin Major General (R) Dato Seri Pahlawan Awg Hj Mohammad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, who officiated the ceremony.

The new two-storey library to be named Lambak Library Building is located on a 2-hectare land at Jalan 99 of Simpang 77, Kampong Lambak Kanan, Berakas.

The construction work which will take 12 months to complete has started on August 30. The coordinating contractor is the Public Works Department while the contractor is HA 1-lanafi Perkasa Sdn. Bhd.

Also present at the ceremony were officers of the Language and Literature Bureau, Brunei History Centre and the Ministry of Culture Youth and Sports as well as heads of villages.
