Christmas Time In Zamboanga

Bandar Seri Begawan – The Christmas atmosphere in Zamboanga City has been thriving since the first week of December, with residents flocking to buy their gifts and festive necessities. Many of the streets are also decorated with colourful lighting.

Mindpro Mall, the largest department store in Zamboanga City, is offering many goods at discounted prices of up to 70 per cent.

According to the City Mayor, Celso Lobregat said, "Zamboanga City is a peaceful city like other cities in the Borneo Islands. Misconceptions that Zamboanga looks like a war torn country are just the work of irresponsible media." -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
