Bandar Seri
Begawan – During the end of term school holiday, many parents
took the opportunity to bring their children on vacation.
While places like Singapore and
Malaysia were some of the popular destinations, Kota Kinabalu also
ranked highly as a top holiday destination. One of the attractions of
the capital city of Sabah was its relatively close distance from
Brunei. A drive to Kota Kinabalu takes up to six or seven hours.
Along the way, travellers are treated
to the beautiful scenery including high mountains, rice plantations
and palm trees.
The city itself offers many
attractions. There is the popular shopping complex and many
restaurants serving delicious and fresh seafood. Other natural
attractions include Mount Kinabalu and the hot springs. --
