Dead Newborn Found On Road

Bandar Seri Begawan – Police are investigating the gory incident of a dead newborn found abandoned along Jln Sebatang Sentul in Kg Luagan Duduk, Tutong District on Sunday, the police public relations office said yesterday.

The baby, said to be a boy, was found at 8.50 am. According to a pathologist at RIPAS Hospital, the body was believed to have been dumped three to four days ago.

Anyone with information on the matter can report to Tutong police at 4221206 or hotline 993 to assist them in investigations.

The dead baby with its umbilical cord still attached, was found inside a blue, black and white striped bag which was wet. Also inside the bag were three towels of three colours, pink, white and green, and an XL-size t-shirt. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
